Breakfast at Marikina: Rustic Mornings by Isabelo

Living in the south, I know too little about the good places on the east side of Metro Manila. Luckily, Miguel lives in Antipolo so he knows some good places for breakfast at Marikina.
Rustic Mornings by Isabelo is a favorite of many! I’m not surprised because this restaurant is charming, and one of the most-known restaurants for breakfast at Marikina.

I am always fond of breakfast dates or brunch dates more than dinner dates. I find it endearing having to spend your mornings with your partner! It’s our second time to have a brunch date at Rustic Mornings by Isabelo.
Brunch date at Rustic Mornings in Marikina
Rustic Mornings by Isabelo does not have a bigger parking area. So, if you are traveling there by car, then you need to come early.
As soon as you enter Rustic Mornings by Isabelo, you will see a lot of greenery, and you can enjoy the succulents area too! I’m sure all the #plantito and #plantita will be happy.

Rustic Mornings by Isabelo is open from 8 AM to 4 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 9 PM on weekends. I’m not sure if you can book a reservation, though!
Rustic Mornings started as a private dining business, and it was previously called Isabelo Garden. Then, a few years later, it became one of the best all-day breakfast and brunch destinations in Manila.

As soon as we arrived, the waiter asked us where we wanted to sit: in the garden or an air-conditioned room. The first time we ate here, we were seated in the garden. So, we decided to eat indoors at this time.
The garden is a good choice, but I was scratching my legs almost the entire time because of the insects! But, the ambiance still makes it a romantic date.

You can choose to dine in the garden if you want to be outdoor.

This is the entrance to the airconditioned room.
Rustic Mornings started from Portia Baluyut Magsino’s love and passion for cooking. As I mentioned above, it was a private dining business first, but now the secret dining restaurant is out for everyone to try!
Portia’s mother, Stephanie Dee Baluyut, has a love and passion for art and loves collecting various trinkets that are displayed as decorations in the restaurant.
With its success, Rustic Mornings is expanding through the years and can accommodate over 100 people.

Rustic Mornings by Isabelo Menu
Foods in Rustic Mornings by Isabelo are affordable and worth the price! It ranges from PHP 200 to PHP 400 and each food has a large serving.
Check out the full Rustic Mornings by Isabelo Menu.

I ordered a bacon, eggs, and herbed hash browns (PHP 180). I didn’t finish it all — aside from the fact that I don’t like eating tomatoes, the 2 herbed hash browns are more than enough for me.
I gave half of it to Miguel. And, of course, the bacon! I love bacon and I love how crispy the bacon is.
Update in 2020: this is no longer part of their menu.
As usual, I ordered 1 bottomless iced tea. One glass costs PHP 80 and the bottomless one costs PHP 140. It’s cheaper to order a bottomless iced tea if you can finish at least 2 glasses.
The service is beyond par! The waiters are attentive; they could serve you within seconds despite having a lot of customers. We didn’t stay long; we are quite in a hurry so we left as soon as we finished the food.

I promised to myself that I’ll take a lot of pictures of food next time. Haha. I’m still learning, but I think taking a photo of the food is waaaaaay difficult! But I’m proud of myself because I was able to include one food photo in this post. Haha.
Very instagrammable breakfast nook. The place itself is worth the experience na. And the price isn’t that bad, very cheap if I may say. Sana malapit sa amin ito, seguro every weekend dito kami mag breakfast palagi.
