Museum of Technology exhibitions

During our visit to the Museum of Technology in April 2023, we had the opportunity to explore a variety of engaging and educational exhibits. Here’s a brief introduction to each of the exhibitions we experienced:
Zero City: Plan a fossil-free city of tomorrow in this 1,200-square-meter interactive exhibition, addressing climate goals through collaboration.

After exploring Zero City, you can admire various exhibits showcasing the history of cars and transport systems in Sweden. The captivating photos on display provide a fascinating look into the evolution of vehicles and their impact on society during that time.

Hyper Human: Discover the possibilities and ethical concerns surrounding AI, genome editing, artificial body parts, and eternal life in this thought-provoking exhibition.
Subject: Hello: Connect with the past, present, and future in this exhibition, showcasing the evolution of communication technologies from the telegraph to self-driving cars.

Be sure to check out this exhibition area, as it’s where we had the most fun and you probably will too! There’s an interactive game that takes you on a journey through the history of technology by solving puzzles.
My husband and I tried the challenge and completed the puzzles in 21 minutes! It took us a bit longer than expected since we were initially confused, but we had a great time.

Play Beyond Play: Step into the world of computer games, featuring interactive game stations and imaginative environments.

The photo of the Pac-Man arcade game brings back fond memories, making you feel nostalgic for the early days of video games. It’s a delightful reminder of the simple, yet captivating games we all used to love.
MegaMind: Explore a space where you can experiment your way to new ideas in the fields of science and technology.
The Mathematical Garden: Uncover the wonders of mathematics through play in this interactive playground.
The Mine: Experience the thrill of mining technologies, with simulators, games, and powerful machines.

The Model Railway: Marvel at the museum’s unique model railway, intricately crafted in the early 1950s and traveling through a realistic landscape.
Teknoleket: Dive into a world of stimulating activities and experiments, designed for young children to explore technology and science.
SKØTM – Amateur Radio Station: Visit the museum’s fully-equipped amateur radio station, operated by enthusiastic volunteers a few times a week.
The museum also offers a captivating interactive exhibition that allows visitors to experience the world through the eyes of various animals. There is also an intriguing section that encourages visitors to guess the scents of various herbs.
