Blue Coral Beach Resort in Laiya, Batangas
Summer is up and about to come. My friends and I decided to go on a short trip, and we ended up having a weekend getaway in Blue Coral Beach Resort in Laiya, Batangas. The weather was perfect for the beach – with clear sunny skies and an ocean breeze.
Our travel time was cut short. Thanks to the interconnection of the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX), South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and Star Tollway, we were able to avoid the traffic congestion in Alabang and the busy town of Lipa, Batangas. We arrived at Blue Coral Beach Resort after traveling for almost 4 hours, and that includes our 2 stopovers.
We checked out the place first since the check-in time is at 3 PM. Upon entering the resort, you will see the receiving area and the reception, then the dining area.
A quick getaway to the Blue Coral Beach Resort in Batangas
The pool is huge! There are only a few resorts in Laiya that have pools. That’s why I was ecstatic that Blue Coral has one. Oh, they have a kiddie pool too.
We then checked out the beach. Ahhh. I missed the sound of the waves, the white sands in Laiya, being away from the big city that is Metro Manila.
I can’t wait to feel the sand between my toes! But first, we have to eat lunch and we are tired from the long drive.
The Blue Coral Beach Resort offers a buffet for around Php 1250 for your entire overnight stay, but we thought it would be better if we order ala carte food instead. The food is not bad; our favorites are sisig, liempo, and carbonara. What’s good about their food is one order costs Php 200 only and it is good for sharing. I was going to order carbonara which costs Php 190 for myself, it turned out that this one is for sharing too!
Our room is now ready so we all stayed there till late afternoon to rest. We rented a deluxe room for only Php 5800 per night that accommodates 4 to 6 persons. We wanted to get the beachside room. Unfortunately, all the rooms are already reserved. The beachside and deluxe room both cost Php 5800. The only difference is the beachside room is a villa type of room, while the deluxe room is a hotel.
Our room is airconditioned with 2 double-sized beds and 2 extra mattresses. It also has basic amenities like the private bathroom (with hot/cold shower and bidet), TV and mini-bar refrigerator, and complimentary toiletries such as soaps, shampoos, toothbrushes, and towels.
This trip with my high school friends is the first-ever despite being friends since 2008. It’s better to be late than never, right? We all had soooo much fun during our stay there. We actually wished we could stay for another night, but our work is in the way. Haha. Maybe next time.
Nothing soothes the soul like a walk on the beach. I didn’t swim at the beach though so I just stayed in our nipa hut and looked after our stuff as they enjoy the beach.
We all have so much to do and two days is not enough. It was nice that we are allowed to stay by the beach at night. So we just sat there and talked and enjoyed the night.
There are several activities that the resort is offering but we were only able to try the banana boat.
After two whole days, we packed our bags back into our car to head home to Manila.
