25 Things I Want To Do Before I Turn 25

I’ll turn 25 on October next year. I’m getting old but it feels like I haven’t done much in my life. I don’t feel bad for the things that I haven’t accomplished. It’s important to take things one step at a time, and I don’t need to compare myself with other people. I have my own timeline, so it’s up to me whether I enjoy it or be busy being depressed because there are people who are already ahead of me.

With only 1 year and 4 months to go, here are the

25 Things I Want to do Before I Turn 25

Update:

Wow, I didn’t even do half on my list! I could get a tattoo, but I decided not to because I cannot choose which tattoo I want. I don’t want to get myself inked with a design I am not 100% sure!

I didn’t travel abroad before I turn 25, but I traveled to Sweden 5 days after my birthday! I hope that still counts. I originally planned or hoped on going to Australia; I’m amazed by how things turned out.

When I wrote I wanted to be healthy and fit, I added that I wanted to gain weight AND get a flat stomach. Then I realized that getting a flat stomach shouldn’t be my goal. I should focus on being healthy first.

Ever since I started working, I’ve always wanted to have enough savings for my sister’s tuition fee. A few years later, I still didn’t have enough. Bad financial decisions. Again.

It’s so funny that I wrote here I wanted to join a fun run and run at least 5km, but I didn’t even try to run even for 2km. Why am I too lazy!

3 months before my birthday, I started to rent an apartment and live on my own. Commuting every day to work tires me out so I decided to rent an apartment that’s close to my work. I also shared my experience with it here.

I also consider that decision as getting out of my comfort zone. Aside from that, I also looked for another job and decided to resign from my first company. Although I am grateful for the opportunities I had in my first company, I thought that I should get out of my comfort zone and take up a new challenge.

One of my goals is to take my family on a trip where I pay for all the expenses. That’s the least that I can do for them. Unfortunately, I didn’t do this because of financial constraints.

That’s why I also wanted to drop my habit of not sticking to my budget. I could earn an x amount of money, but I can spend it in the blink of an eye. Yikes! I didn’t stick to my budget; in fact, my financial plans that year changed because of an opportunity that I have to pay to get it.

Even though I didn’t do all in my list before I turn 25, I don’t feel pressure anyway because I still have time to do it. I just wanted to create a list because it’s fun to have a few goals.

  1. You should really watch Friends, it’s the best classic show that I’ve ever watched! ? And if you found a new hobby you can turn that into a side-hustle business. You’re like hitting two birds in one stone. Good luck on this Karen!

    1. I know, I know! Most of my friends asked me to watch it already. Haha. And I reaaally want to watch it na but I don’t have a copy yet. I’ll get one soon! Thanks, Camille!

  2. I think you summed up all my goals before I turn 25, too (except watching Friends bc i’ve watched the entire series for like 3 times already Haha!) Good thing I have roughly 4 years left to accomplish all that. Good luck, Karen. Can’t wait to read about all your progress.

Our First Negative Guest Experience as Airbnb Hosts

I knew this would happen. We had our first horror guest experience as hosts in Airbnb. Miguel and I have been hosting only since June 2019 so I know (and expect) that there will be more horror guests coming. I just didn’t expect us to have a negative guest experience as Airbnb hosts this soon.
