25 Things I Want To Do Before I Turn 25
I’ll turn 25 on October next year. I’m getting old but it feels like I haven’t done much in my life. I don’t feel bad for the things that I haven’t accomplished. It’s important to take things one step at a time, and I don’t need to compare myself with other people. I have my own timeline, so it’s up to me whether I enjoy it or be busy being depressed because there are people who are already ahead of me.
With only 1 year and 4 months to go, here are the
25 Things I Want to do Before I Turn 25
- Get a tattoo.
Change my hair color.
- Travel abroad.
Be healthy and fit.
- Have enough savings for my sister’s tuition fee.
- Join a fun run.
Go on a road trip. Buy some stocks, or invest in something. Rent an apartment or a condo, and live on my own. Again. Rebuild my wardrobe.
- Read and finish a book at least once a month.
Get out of my comfort zone.
- Go on a trip with my family.
- Learn a new language.
Have fun and enjoy life.
- See my favorite artist perform live.
- Drop my habit of not sticking to my budget.
- Increase my income.
- Try new restaurants every payday.
Find a hobby that will keep me busy. Learn to say no. Meet new friends.
- Watch Friends, Pretty Little Liars, Descendants of the Sun, and finish One Tree Hill & Gossip Girl.
- Visit more beaches!
Fall in love.
Wow, I didn’t even do half on my list! I could get a tattoo, but I decided not to because I cannot choose which tattoo I want. I don’t want to get myself inked with a design I am not 100% sure!
I didn’t travel abroad before I turn 25, but I traveled to Sweden 5 days after my birthday! I hope that still counts. I originally planned or hoped on going to Australia; I’m amazed by how things turned out.
When I wrote I wanted to be healthy and fit, I added that I wanted to gain weight AND get a flat stomach. Then I realized that getting a flat stomach shouldn’t be my goal. I should focus on being healthy first.
Ever since I started working, I’ve always wanted to have enough savings for my sister’s tuition fee. A few years later, I still didn’t have enough. Bad financial decisions. Again.
It’s so funny that I wrote here I wanted to join a fun run and run at least 5km, but I didn’t even try to run even for 2km. Why am I too lazy!
3 months before my birthday, I started to rent an apartment and live on my own. Commuting every day to work tires me out so I decided to rent an apartment that’s close to my work. I also shared my experience with it here.
I also consider that decision as getting out of my comfort zone. Aside from that, I also looked for another job and decided to resign from my first company. Although I am grateful for the opportunities I had in my first company, I thought that I should get out of my comfort zone and take up a new challenge.
One of my goals is to take my family on a trip where I pay for all the expenses. That’s the least that I can do for them. Unfortunately, I didn’t do this because of financial constraints.
That’s why I also wanted to drop my habit of not sticking to my budget. I could earn an x amount of money, but I can spend it in the blink of an eye. Yikes! I didn’t stick to my budget; in fact, my financial plans that year changed because of an opportunity that I have to pay to get it.
Even though I didn’t do all in my list before I turn 25, I don’t feel pressure anyway because I still have time to do it. I just wanted to create a list because it’s fun to have a few goals.
