Success is the best revenge.
Did you ever feel so angry towards some people who you want to take revenge? I did, and I’m working on it now.
To be honest, I’m the type of person who is forgiving so I barely hold grudges. But, when I do, then there must be a reason.
I want to tell you everything about it. I want to talk about it. But, this involves someone in the family. Can I even consider him/them as part of the family?
We are only related by blood. So, technically, he is my uncle. I wish he isn’t.
The more I know, the more I despise this person and his family.
I never listened when I was told that I should block these people on social media. I never did. In fact, I even added and followed them. Why? Because I want to know how they are and what they are up to. Not because I care, but because I want to know how successful they are now.
Though I don’t check on them consistently, their posts are sometimes on my news feed.
Truth be told, I’m happy that they are now doing okay. I’m happy that they have their own lives now. Also, I’m happy that they are no longer a bother. I’m happy that they no longer need us.
I’m happy they no longer need help.
Growing up, incidents just keep on coming one after another. It feels never-ending. I can repeat the same conversation again and again. Honestly, it’s tiring.
It’s nice to know that there are some people who willingly help us when needed. My question is, up to what extent should we help somebody? It is expected that when you lend your hand, you wouldn’t ask for anything in return. But, how about if you have an agreement that you will pay the money that you borrowed? How long should we wait before you could pay?
I know that we are considerate on their situation so we all waited. Instead, we helped them. They are in the better place, right? We helped them move abroad. We helped them settle down there.
And then I found out how ungrateful they are…
What infuriates me was when his daughter, my cousin, sent a message to my aunt. Boasting how successful they all already are, and that people should stop pestering them. In addition to that, she even mentioned that they were all successful because of their hard work.
I wanted to laugh at all of them. Nobody even questioned how they became successful because everyone knows who should take the credit. But, really, do you even need to say that?
What I hate the most is people who don’t know how to look back and be grateful. I also hate people who need attention; who always wanted to start a fire. I hate people who keep telling lies and making excuses. I hate them.
Their success reminds me how they took advantage of us. So, no. I’ll never be happy for them.
You are all probably wondering what triggered me. Again, it was because of their post on social media. I know, I know. I’ve been told. But I unfollowed them already.
They are the greatest failure. To be honest, they are one of the reasons why I feel motivated now. I’ll definitely seek revenge, and that revenge will be my success. I’ll bring them to where they are supposed to belong. 🙂
